We are delighted to welcome Cameron Maguire to the Preim team as customer account manager

Cameron Maguire | Preim

Having started in his new role in October 2017, Cameron is a fantastic addition, already helping to ensure we are providing an exceptional service to residents at Preim-managed estates.

Joining us from Encore Estate Management, Cameron is currently working to manage and oversee the maintenance of Preim’s portfolio of flats and apartments. With experience managing flats from blocks of two to 300, with many different communal facilities, Cameron is well versed in ensuring all residents see the benefits of their service charge.

Working with the rest of the Preim team

Working closely with our head of client delivery, Oliver Taylor, Cameron is proving instrumental in streamlining processes to make sure our holistic and efficient approach to placekeeping is implemented at all the developments and estates we work with.

“I’ve worked with Ollie for 11 years now, having previously worked with him at Encore. It’s great to be part of the same team again at Preim.

“The team are really friendly and there’s a more personal feel to the business, which feeds right through to how we work with residents, developers and suppliers,” Cameron explained.

From theory to reality: Putting garden village principles in action

After completing a degree in Biology and enjoying a gap year, Cameron’s initial experience within property management was in serviced apartments. From there, Cameron has developed a passion for the industry:

“I’ve recently completed a distance learning, post-graduate degree at the University of Salford in Real Estate and Property Management. Essentially that means I have extensive understanding of the industry – even looking back at the history of property through to modern day initiatives.

“In fact, there was a specific research topic that looked into the history of the Garden City Movement: from the development of the first ‘garden city’, Letchworth, over a century ago through to modern day initiatives driven by the Homes and Communities Agency.

“Now, working at Preim, it’s been fascinating seeing those garden village principles in action and championed at developments across the UK.

“The way Preim focuses on community and sustainable development is really refreshing. It’s a different challenge for me in my career but a great change as well,” Cameron added.

With the distance learning post-graduate degree now complete, in his spare time Cameron enjoys playing seven-a-side football and is involved with his local amateur dramatics group in Newmarket.

Welcome to the Preim team, Cameron!
