Welcome back to the team, Abigail Morton

Monday 11th September 2023

We’ve been delighted to showcase some of our fantastic employees over recent months. We like to shine the spotlight on their great work and share a little bit about their everyday responsibilities. This time, it’s the turn of Customer Account Manager, Abigail Morton, who has a slightly different story than most, having worked with us previously as Assistant Customer Account Manager from 2017-2020. She recently returned to the Preim team before being swiftly promoted to Customer Account Manager.

Abigail said, “In my first stint with Preim, I achieved associate membership with the Institute of Residential Property Management to give me a better understanding of the ever-evolving legal framework that surrounds leasehold law. I think that gave me the property and estate management bug! From the get-go, I really enjoyed the variety of the job and communication with residents, contractors and clients.”

After leaving Preim in 2020, Abigail worked for Arsenal Football Club in their Premium Memberships Team. The pandemic drew her closer to home and until November 2022, she worked for an organisation focused on supporting and accelerating the growth of SMEs in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.

She said, “I’ve always enjoyed working for Preim, the people definitely make it a great company to work for. When the opportunity arose to come back, I was thrilled. Coming back to the office, it really felt like I had never left although the company and portfolio of estates had drastically grown.  I can only see Preim growing further and it’s exciting to see what the future has to hold.”

Cameron Maguire, Regional Client Manager, said,

“It’s great to have Abigail back on the team. She has progressed so quickly since starting back with us and has secured a fully deserved promotion to Customer Account Manager, now looking after her very own portfolio.”

Abigail said, “I work mainly on the Allison Homes developments but also a few Annington sites. It’s been great to build a relationship with Allison Homes and visit many new sites which will shortly be handed over.”

She added, “One of the things that keeps me engaged within my role is that no two days are the same.  I oversee routine maintenance and repairs, coordinate with contractors, and ensure that the estates are well-kept. Building strong relationships is crucial for efficient property management and something I really enjoy. I also love acting as the main point of contact for residents, addressing their questions, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner, as well as finding solutions that enhance their living experience. The world of property management is always evolving, with new legislation and best practices emerging all the time. It’s important for me to stay up to date with industry trends and be informed about innovative approaches that can benefit our estates and residents.”

Abigail commented on what it is like to be part of the Preim team.

She said, “Unlike many other companies, Preim adopts an environment of open communication. There is a lot of transparent and honest interaction and communication among team members which not only builds trust but also leads to more effective collaboration and problem-solving. The open communication is great as it allows us to make changes to positively improve our service. I’ve always felt like I can be my authentic self at Preim and that is the best thing about working for the company.”

Outside of work, Abigail plays a lot of netball, when she isn’t travelling to watch her beloved Arsenal FC!
