Monday 6th August 2018

Crest Nicholson’s Tadpole Garden Village has been shortlisted in the Best Community Living and Best Placemaking categories of this year’s Sunday Times British Home Awards.

The Swindon development is becoming renowned for its exceptional initiatives to empower residents and create a place that promotes people’s health, happiness and wellbeing. We are delighted to see this hard work being recognised by prestigious industry awards.

The award winners will be announced on Thursday, 20 September at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square. Keep an eye out here, on Twitter and the Tadpole Garden Village website for updates – hopefully of another award win!

Creating a new community in the heart of Wiltshire

Tadpole Garden Village is growing quickly and is a brilliant example of the successful adoption of the Community Interest Company model; a model that aims to give residents ownership of their community and the ability to mould how it develops in the future.

Very recently, in fact, Preim worked with Crest Nicholson to manage the handover of communal amenities, including play parks and green spaces, into theownership of the TGVCIC – a significant cornerstone in the development’s progress. With the amenities now managed by the CIC, the community has direct say and control over how they are maintained and managed.

The master planning and garden village ethos adopted by Crest Nicholson at Tadpole Garden Village has been key in the development leading the way for placemaking in the UK. It is this vision that has led to the adoption of the CIC model and driven the development to its current success – all of which we are sure will be recognised by the BHA judges.
