Preim supports estate communities with Christmas celebrations

Monday 8th January 2024

It’ was fantastic to get into the Christmas spirit with communities on our managed estates over recent weeks.

As well as attending various festive events across the developments we manage, we donated ten Christmas trees and helped organise several Christmas light switch-on ceremonies.

On 9th December, an event at Tadpole Garden Village, organised by Preim with support from the CIC Steering Group, saw a Christmas event held on the award-winning Stray. The Stray forms a key open space at the heart of the development, with the parkland including a woodland play area, formal town park and a viewing platform over attenuation ponds – the perfect location for a Christmas community event!

Over 300 residents joined in with the festivities and were entertained by Lockdown Brass, a group of musicians who came together during the pandemic when their usual practice rooms were closed. Mulled wine and other refreshments were provided courtesy of Plot 32, a local business that operates selling chutneys and jams which are grown in the allotments on site.

At the Kingsgrove development near Wantage, we supported a Christmas event organised in conjunction with the Kingsgrove Community Group and Wantage Community Church. We were able to donate a large Christmas tree and arranged for the decoration of the tree and external hedgerows at the development to give the estate a truly festive look and feel. Wantage Town Band attended with carol singing taking place around the Christmas tree. There was even a special appearance from Santa!

It was a pleasure to support and attend the Christmas events with our resident communities and join the festive celebrations. Happy New Year!!
