Preim is delighted to welcome senior customer account manager Michael Westwood to the team.

With 10 years’ experience in the commercial and residential property sector, including working for a number of global brands, Michael will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of garden villages; overseeing a six-strong team.

And he says he will be drawing on his wealth of experience to implement the tried and tested, yet highly effective, basics of customer care.

He said: “From working in the property sector, both commercially and residentially, I believe it is important to try to stick to some basic yet, what I would consider proven, principals.

“Really putting the customer at the heart of everything is key; taking the time to listen – even if it is just to allow them to let off steam – understanding their needs, managing their expectations and remaining transparent.

“Then the tried and tested; treat people how you would want to be treated and speak to customers how you would want to be spoken to. This is something that is applied across the board though not just to customers.”

Community engagement

Relishing his new role, Michael and his team are keen to engage with residents across all the garden villages; putting the community at the heart of daily life.

“I enjoy the freedom the role allows and the ability to directly influence the service provided to our customers and clients, which is different to my previous posts within the industry.

“For me, community engagement is key – and I am looking to try and take this to a new, higher level with a range of marketing and communications tools; including more regular updates and newsletters, increased interactive features on the website, regular drop-in sessions, residents’ surveys asking them what they would like to see, as well as engaging with the local council and business community.”

When he isn’t working, Michael is a huge fan of the great outdoors; putting mountain biking, fell walking, golf, football and most other sports among his hobbies. He also enjoys travelling and eating out with friends.
