Community Spirit in Action at Forge Wood

We’re always proud to support the residents on our estates in the great job they do to nurture their community.

Earlier this year our Estate Manager, Sam Goold, ensured that we played our part in supporting a large summer event at the Forge Wood development in Crawley.

The Forge Wood Summer Fair was expertly organised by the Forge Wood Resident’s Committee and Friends of Forge Wood. Thanks to the passion and hard work of these individuals, the event brought together families, friends, and neighbours for a day filled with fun, entertainment, and community spirit.

From activities like game stalls, trampolines, and a rodeo, to welcoming local talent such as Rock Choirs, who performed crowd favourites like Green Green Grass by George Ezra, the organisers' dedication to community shone through. Their efforts turned a slightly rainy day into a memorable celebration of togetherness and local pride.

Preim was delighted to contribute toward the cost of some large inflatables, a crowd favourite enjoyed by children and adults alike. Although we provided this financial support, it was the tireless efforts of the committee members and volunteers that made the day such a success.

Over the past year, the Resident’s Committee has worked hard to foster an inclusive and positive environment, with Kate, our Community Mobiliser. This collaborative approach has helped to ensure that residents feel heard and can contribute, strengthening relationships within the community. By listening to a range of voices and encouraging constructive dialogue, the committee has been able to plan and organise events that reflect the community’s wishes and needs.

The Forge Wood Summer Fair wasn’t just about fun activities – although there were plenty of those! It was about creating connections, bringing people together, and fostering a strong sense of belonging in the community. From local food vendors to a well-stocked bar, the event had something for everyone.

We look forward to more seasonal community events throughout the remainder of the year and beyond!
