The residents of Tadpole Garden Village came together recently for their first-ever Community Family Fun Day, a fantastic initiative aimed at fostering a sense of community and connection among residents and neighbours.
The event welcomed everyone from the wider area, but it was a particularly special occasion for the families living within the development, many of whom played a key role in bringing the day to life.
In previous years, Tadpole Garden Village has hosted a popular Open Air Cinema evening. However, residents wanted to extend the event to include more daytime activities, making it accessible for families with younger children. The result was the recent and widely successful Community Family Fun Day
The event was spearheaded by residents Alan and Helen Launchbury, with Preim proudly supporting their efforts. Alan and Helen’s leadership, alongside the involvement of many local vendors - several of whom are residents themselves - helped make the day a true celebration of the community’s talent and energy. From delicious food stalls to creative local crafts, the day showcased the very best of what Tadpole Garden Village has to offer.
With activities designed for every member of the family, the Fun Day offered something for everyone. Inflatables kept the kids entertained, while live music created a festive atmosphere for adults. The local fire service and police were in attendance, giving residents an opportunity to engage with local heroes. One of the highlights of the day was the dog show, which brought together pet lovers from across the community in a light-hearted competition.
The success of the Fun Day has inspired residents to plan even more events in the future, with hopes of growing participation and involvement year after year. Coming up next will be a Pumpkin Trail for Halloween, followed by a Christmas Carol Singing and Light Switch-On event in December.
The sense of unity fostered by these gatherings is a testament to the strength of the community spirit within Tadpole Garden Village.
Beyond the fun and entertainment, the Family Fun Day served a deeper purpose: to build connections among residents. By offering a space for neighbours to meet, chat, and celebrate together, the event helped strengthen relationships within the development, fostering a supportive and welcoming environment for all.
Events like these remind us of the importance of community, and Preim is proud to play a role in supporting and nurturing that spirit.
